The Department of Agrarian Reform Distributes 8 Hectares of Land to Farmer-Beneficiaries

The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) continues to uphold its commitment to land reform by awarding eight hectares of land through the Certificates of Land Ownership Award (CLOA) to farmer-beneficiaries. The distribution ceremony took place at Tabe’s Place, Pala-o, Iligan City, on October 29, 2019. This significant event was attended by Iligan City Mayor Celso G. Regencia, Vice Mayor Jemar Vera Cruz, Vice Mayor AJ Marcera of LGU Bacolod, and Admin Muhaymen Rasol of LGU Balo-i, who all witnessed the awarding of land titles to the deserving farmers.

Agrarian reform has been a fundamental pillar of rural development in the Philippines. Through land distribution programs, the government seeks to provide farmers with ownership and control over the lands they cultivate.
